Follow these guidelines to enjoy your candles safely and make them last longer!
Trim candlewicks to ¼ inch before each use.
Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets.
Don’t burn a candle all the way down.
Never use a candle as a night light.
Never touch or move a burning candle when the wax is liquid.
Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too big, smoky or flickery.
Extinguish all candles before going to bed.
Burn candles no longer than 1-2 hours at a time.
Never extinguish candles with water.
Be very careful if using candles during a power outage.
Keep burning candles away from drafty areas, like fans and vents.
Place the candle-holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
For a minimum of safety, discontinue burning a candle when ½ inch of wax remains.
Long, uneven wicks can cause uneven burning, large flames and soot.
